Six Day Course on 

Quantitative Techniques and Computer Applications in Contemporary Research

1. Applications are invited for a six-day course on Quantitative Techniques and Computer Applications in Contemporary Research to be conducted by the Department of Business management, University of Calcutta during 10^th to 15^th March, 2008 (2 pm – 7.30 pm). The course aims at enabling teachers and scholars of academic and professional institutions as well as research workers of NGOs to formulate research topics, conduct research work and projects, prepare project reports, research papers and dissertations with the help of appropriate tools and software packages.

 2. Application procedure: Aspiring candidates are requested register under:

B:         Spot Registration

A: Under Early Bird Registration the candidate may apply in the prescribed pro-forma attached herewith and send the application to e-mail address (apal57@yahoo.com) or fill in the printed copy of the registration form and in person deposit it in the Department of Business Management, University of Calcutta, Alipore Campus from 01-02-2008 to 29-02-08. The application forms are to be accompanied with a bank draft/crossed cheque* (Kolkata-local clearance) of Rs. 3000/- drawn in favour of Head, Department of Business Management, Calcutta University. In case of on line application, the cheque has to reach the office of the department by 29-02-2008.

B. Spot registration (with prior intimation to the above e-mail address within 7^th March, 2008) is allowed on 10^th March on payment of Rs. 3500/- in cash only at the office of the department. 

3. A certificate with acknowledgement of participation will be awarded to each candidate on successful completion of the course.
